  WHAT HAPPENED?

  After their hard-fought win against Slovakia in the last-16, the England squad headed to their base camp in Blankenhain where they were treated to a delightful evening of music. Following a light warm-down session on Monday morning, the players enjoyed a laid-back day at the team hotel with Sheeran serenading them with an acoustic performance in the games area of the Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land hotel.

  Sheeran had also visited the squad during the last European Championship, where England reached the final but ultimately lost on penalties to Italy. The British singer has been in Germany for the last few days and was spotted dancing with joy in the stands at AufSchalke after Jude Bellingham's acrobatic scissor kick against Slovakia prevented England from bowing out of the tournament.

  In addition to arranging special events, Southgate has opened the camp to family visits after matches.
